Hollywood gets a bad rep for sticking its nose into politics, as if somehow stars aren’t citizens like the rest of us. The reasoning goes, I guess, that if your voice happens to be a bit louder than the rest of us, then you lose your right to speak.
But while politicos argue over whether to end the war in Iraq, where the funds will come from, and how to care for soldiers when they return home, two celebs are trying to take care of the war’s children.
On Wednesday 25 june, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt announced that their foundation JOLIE-PITT donated $1 million to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict. The donation will go to four organizations that help kids in both Iraq and the U.S. who have lost parents.
“We hope to encourage others to give to these great organizations,” Pitt said in a written statement.
Bravo to both of them. Why, it’s almost enough to forgive them for ‘Mr. & Mrs. Pitt.’

Congratulations to Women who are helping Girls to survive during Wars.
